Cap City Elite is more than just a basketball league; it's a community dedicated to developing young athletes both on and off the court. Based in Raleigh, NC, we are proud to be a spin-off of the esteemed Cap City Steelers youth football organization. Our mission is to provide a positive and supportive environment where players aged 9-12 can grow, learn, and excel in basketball and life.
Led by Head Coach Chris Hogan, a seasoned basketball coach with over 10 years of experience, our program emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Coach Hogan, a US Army veteran who has played basketball in high school and football in the military, brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for coaching. His extensive experience coaching boys and girls at the middle and high school levels ensures that our players receive top-notch training and mentorship.

COACH CHRIS HOGAN
US Army Veteran
Coach Chris Hogan brings over a decade of coaching excellence to Cap City Elite. A dedicated and passionate mentor, he has successfully led both boys and girls varsity and junior varsity basketball teams at the middle and high school levels. As a US Army veteran who played high school basketball and football in the military, Coach Hogan combines his athletic experience with a commitment to discipline, teamwork, and personal growth. His deep love for the game and his unique ability to inspire and develop young athletes make him an invaluable leader for our program.

cj "sonny" hogan
Student Athlete
CJ "Sonny Dunny" Hogan, is a vibrant presence both on and off the field and court. From the young age of 4, CJ has been immersed in organized sports, developing a deep love for basketball and football. He currently plays for the Cap City Steelers football league and has extensive experience in basketball, playing for several organizations over the years. Under the mentorship of his father, Coach Chris Hogan, CJ has also taken to coaching, bringing his hands-on experience and enthusiasm to the teams they lead together. Off the court, CJ is an avid gamer, enjoys swimming, and values quality time with his family and friends, particularly his nephew Carter. His passion for sports and family shines through in his coaching, making him a beloved figure among players and peers alike.
